RESIDENTS are being invited to climb aboard an auditorium-sized time machine and be transported back to the 1980s.

The Hair Rock Experience is a live theatre spectacular that brings the nostalgia of stadium rock back in style.

The show, coming to Redditch's Palace Theatre, is an opportunity to dress up, dance, and enjoy classics from the likes of Bon Jovi, Posion, White Snake, Aerosmith, Motley Crue and many more.

Featuring vintage audio, the show takes people on a whistle-stop tour of the era that taste forgot with all its excesses, deprivations, politics, and backcombing… but most of all, it unleashes the hair rock genre in its full and glossy glory.

It includes 80s rock anthems such as Livin’ On A Prayer, The Final Countdown, Jump, Sweet Child O’Mine, Walk This Way, Nothin’ But A Good Time and more.

A theatre spokesman said: "With some of the best professional musicians on the circuit; killer vocals, lasers, smoke, and jeans so tight the cast need shoehorns and talc to get them on, this is a night not to be missed.

"The show is fully interactive on social media, so let the band know you’re coming to see them and they’ll give you a shout out…or even come and sit on your lap.

"If you loved the 80s, then this is the show for you."

The show is on July 11 with tickets costing £16.75 (£15.75 discounted rate) inclusive of a 75p booking fee up to a maximum of £3.
