IT may only be June but Redditch's Palace Theatre are already thinking about Christmas.

This year will end with a big burst of magic and a whole lot of joy and laughter when the enchanting tale of Cinderella comes to the venue.

Forced to cook, clean and run around after her ungrateful ugly stepsisters, Cinderella has a miserable life.

When her stepsisters tear up her invitation to Prince Charming’s grand ball all seems lost.

However, there is magic in the air in the shape of Cinderella’s fairy godmother who with the wave of her wand transforms Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful ball gown and a pumpkin and some mice into a coach and horses.

The enchantment comes with a warning though, that it will only last until the stroke of midnight.

Cinderella meets the handsome Prince Charming and they both fall instantly in love.

The dream match is shattered though as the clock strikes 12 and Cinders runs from the ball leaving nothing but her glass slipper behind.

The hunt is now as Prince Charming combs the kingdom getting all the eligible young ladies to try on the glass slipper.

The Palace is holding open auditions for juvenile dancers who want to take part in the musical, aged eight to 18, on Sunday, September 14.
