WEST Mercia Police are reminding the public of the dangers of not following the law.
The advice follows 23 incidents of illegal motorbike riding being reported in Redditch over the past month.
Some individuals have been riding motorbikes, mini motorbikes and mopeds on footpaths in the areas of Woodrow, LodgePark and Greenlands.
Police are warning owners that their vehicle could be confiscated if they ride in an illegal or anti-social manner.
This comes after two motorbikes were seized on Ash Tree Road and Plymouth Road on Monday 19 May due to being ridden with no insurance.
Police are reminding mini motorbike owners of what criteria is required including a valid driving licence, Compulsory Basic Training certificate, tax, displaying a tax disc, MOT, helmet and registration plate.
It is also illegal to ride motorbikes and mopeds on footpaths and of course is a danger to the rider and others.
As part of their investigation, officers are working to identify those who are riding their motorbike illegally or anti-socially in Redditch.
If you have any information about this behaviour please call us on 101. Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
