Messy Church Redditch is back

MESSY Church Redditch, which is a great opportunity for families to be creative, have fun, meet new people, and find out about God, is back.

It will be returning to St Stephen's Church in the town centre on on Saturday, June 7 between 10am and noon, and this month the group will be exploring the theme of Pentecost, helping the church celebrate its birthday, and will also include all the usual fun, games, crafts, activities, singing, dancing, stories and food.

A spokesman said: "Messy Church is for anyone who wants to get creative in worship, who wants to make new friends in their community, who wants fun, free family activities and who want to try church out but don't think their children will sit quietly for long.

"There is no need to book, people can just turn up but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All are welcome."

Messy Church Redditch will also be at Forge Mill on Wednesday, June 25 and people should bring a picnic along to spend some time in the children’s playground from 5.30pm before joining a pilgrimage to a family friendly service in the abbey ruins at around 6.30pm.

Messy Church has been organised by members of Emmanuel Church and Redditch Holy Trinity, and has been a huge success since it started two years ago, regularly attracting 30-40 children to sessions.
