POLICE are hunting for a man who indecently exposed himself to a woman in an alleyway in Redditch.

Witnesses are sought following the incident which happened at 6.40am on Thursday, May 22 in an alleyway at the back of Hillmorton Close which leads towards Thornhill Road on the Moon’s Moat North Industrial Estate.

A woman in her 20s was walking there with her head down, as it was raining, when she glanced up at a man standing at the side of the alleyway and noticed he was exposing himself.

He spoke to her briefly but she hurried on without answering and police were alerted soon afterwards.

The offender, who had a local accent, was white and appeared to be in his mid to late 20s.

Although he had a greyish top with the hood up it is believed he has blond, possibly shaved hair, and he had light eyebrows.

He also wore a white t-shirt, light grey jogging pants and white trainers.

Several other people are believed to have seen the same man loitering in that area shortly before the incident.

Sergeant Paul Reilly said: “No attempt was made to grab or follow the woman but she was obviously quite shocked by what happened. This is a route used by a lot of factory workers and we are hoping someone noticed this man making his way there or saw where he went afterwards.

“If you saw him or think you know who this man is from the description then we would very much like to hear from you.”
