COMMUNITY and craft stalls are being invited to join in with Redditch’s popular Green Fair at the end of June.

The free event for all the family is set to be bigger and better than ever this year, after organisers Redditch Council teamed up with the Redditch Lions Club to host a new main event. Local cadet groups will compete on the day in a series of games for a special trophy.

The call is now going out to community and craft stalls that want to come along and display their wares to crowds of visitors.

The council's head of leisure and cultural services, John Godwin, said: “The Green Fair is a popular event and that’s due in no small part to the involvement of the community every year. We are delighted to once again be able to offer space to craftspeople or groups that feel they could bring something to the event - just get in touch.”

A host of other activities such as pony rides, woodland crafts, circus skills, laser clay shooting, and music are also already set for the 13th Green Fair, which is due to take place in Arrow Valley Park on Battens Drive in Redditch on Sunday, June 29. More information will be given nearer the time.
