Those who want to find out more about mental health and wellbeing are invited to an outreach session in Alcester as part of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week.

The theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which gets underway on Monday, May 12, is anxiety, one of the leading causes of mental ill-health in the world.

A wellbeing outreach session will be held at Alcester Medical Centre, Fields Park Drive on Monday, May 12 between 1 and 3pm where visitors can find guidance and advice.

Dr John Linnane, director of public health in Warwickshire, said: “People who have a positive experience of their life usually feel happy, content, enjoy things, are interested in their surroundings and people and feel engaged or connected."

The week follows five weeks of campaigning from Public Health Warwickshire on raising awareness of wellbeing in Warwickshire.
