SWANSBROOK Lane is now bursting with colour thanks to the efforts of pupils from Feckenham First School.

On Wednesday, May 7, the pupils joined officers from Redditch Council to plant lupins along Swansbrook Lane as their contribution to town's In Bloom campaign.

The children planted around 30 lupins, all of which were donated by Feckenham Parish Council.

Wayne Beard, one of the lead officers for the Redditch in Bloom campaign, said: “We are pleased to have worked with Feckenham First School again and always welcome their help with the Redditch in Bloom campaign.

"Not only is it educational for the pupils, it is also a great way for us to engage with the local community, the parish council and the school. The children always work really hard and are enthusiastic which makes it a pleasure for us to be involved with.”
