FORMER members of a youngsters' twins' group recently met up for a toddle waddle at Morton Stanley Park in aid of Meningitis Now.

The toddle waddle managed to raise £80 for the charity.

The event was organised by Jo Stephens, who used to run Twin Club at Willow Trees Children's Centre in the town.

She said: "We had about 24 taking part altogether and luckily the rain held off for us. We walked and scooted around Morton and then had a play in the park at the end.

"We chose this charity as my children read the leaflet that came with the toddle waddle pack, and saw pictures of other children who had lost hands or legs from meningitis and they wanted to raise money to help pay for research.

"It was great to see people from Twin Club who we hadn't seen for ages and for all the twins and triplets to get together and have a rush around whilst raising money for a good cause."
