ONE of the toughest middle distance triathlons that can be taken on is returning to Ragley Hall.

The Avenger Triathlon event debuted last year and competitors who take the challenge are faced with a 1.9km swim around Ragley Boating Lake followed by a 90km bike ride around an undulating course through the Warwickshire and Worcestershire countryside. This is finished off with a 21km run round the trails and fields of the Ragley Estate.

The triathlon is a charity event with all profits being donated to local charity Kids Run Free, which strives to ignite a passion for sport in children by providing them with free regular sporting opportunities.

Event organiser Joanna Welch said: “We are very excited to be back at Ragley Hall with The Avenger. The event was very well received last year and we just hope we can build on that success for this year.”

The triathlon will take place at Ragley Hall on June 22. Entrance costs £110 and more information can be found by logging onto
