Stratford District Council announces election date

WARDS including Alcester, Studley and Bidford will be contested in next month's elections at Stratford District Council.
The elections - which also coincides with the European Elections - take place on Thursday, May 22 with voting from 7am to 10pm.
To be able to vote at either of these elections residents must either be on the electoral register or have applied to be so by 5pm on Tuesday, May 6.
Anyone who needs to check they are on the electoral register at their current address should call Stratford District Council’s Elections Office on 01789 260208.
Postal votes are available to any district resident but are especially useful for those that are unable to get to a polling station on polling day, due to health reasons or maybe on holiday or working away.
All completed applications forms for postal votes must be submitted before 5pm on Wednesday, May 7.
