A PRESENTATION is being held in Astwood Bank for parents who want to find out how to protect their kids from the darker side of the web.
E-Safety for Parents is a one-hour presentation organised by Catshill Learning that outlines online issues such as cyberbullying, personal privacy and social networking. It will highlight the technology of instant messaging, chat rooms, gaming, virtual worlds and social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
E-safety consultant Brett Laniosh will give the talk and he said: βIt is important that anyone who comes into contact with young people or uses social media becomes familiar with how to behave online.
"The internet can be a daunting place but with a few simple rules it is possible for everyone to be E-safe.β
The event will take place at Ridgeway Middle School on Monday, April 29 at 7pm.
