POLICE are appealing for help to identify a man who indecently exposed himself to a woman who had gone for a run near the Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch.

It happened March 31 between 8.50am and 9.10am when the 29-year-old victim was running from the Church Hill area towards the park and had reached an underpass near Proctors Barn Lane.

She was alongside the River Arrow and on the opposite bank saw a man she did not know indecently exposing himself.

He was white, thought to be aged 40 to 50, around 5ft 11ins in height, of medium build and with short, thick black hair. He was wearing a black fleece top.

PC Laura Wright said: “The woman looked away and carried on running but she was quite shocked and upset and didn’t see where the man went.

“It may be that other people in that area yesterday morning saw this man and can help us with a more detailed description or tell us who he is or where he comes from.

“It’s not the first such incident of its type in that area involving a man of this description who may have committed similar offences at the end of last year. We need to find out who he is as soon as possible.

"Therefore if you think you know something about this then please let us know without delay.”

PC Wright can be contacted at Redditch Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the incident reference 135-S-310314, or details may be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
