ALCESTER Musical Theatre Company is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a spectacular music concert that will include all of your favourite music from the movies.
Top of the pops was in it's first year, the Beatles were singing I Wanna Hold Your Hand, their first number one hit in the US, and Alcester Musical Theatre Company was performing its first show, Iolanthe, at the Greig Hall.
This was 1964, and 50 years later the group's Going to the Movies concert will include hits such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Forrest Gump, Mamma Mia and Dirty Dancing.
The event will take place at Alcester Town Hall on Saturday, April 12 starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Cynthia Hill on 01789 763446 costing £10, which includes a free drink.
