WITNESSES are being asked to come forward by Redditch police following two assaults on a 17-year-old girl in different parts of the town over the last few weeks.

The first incident happened just after midnight on Friday, February 7 at McDonalds, on Coldfield Drive, Redditch. The girl and a young man were inside the restaurant sitting at a table when the man started threatening her.

They moved outside and the man grabbed the girl around the throat and then punched her in the face.

The second incident happened on Hewell Road near Redditch Bus Station, on Thursday, March 13 at 4.30pm.

The same girl was assaulted by a man who pushed her head onto some metal railings.

PC Damian Elcock: “We think there were a number of people at the McDonalds and on Hewell Road when these incidents happened.

“We urge anyone who saw either of these assaults to contact us immediately.”
