AS part of Vue Redditch's monthly sensory-friendly screenings the cinema, in the Kingfisher Centre, will be showing the much anticipated Muppets Most Wanted.

It will be shown on Wednesday, April 2 to mark World Autism Awareness Day.

With tickets priced from just £1.75, the exclusive screening will allow cinema goers who benefit from the subtle alterations made to the sensory-friendly cinema experience, to watch the Muppets adventure with friends and family in an inclusive surrounding.

Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theatres in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London.

But Mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by the World’s number one criminal (and a dead ringer for Kermit) and his dastardly sidekick played by Ricky Gervais.

The autism friendly film showing will include adjustments such as eliminating adverts, lighting left on low and sound turned down to accommodate film goers.

Anthony Lockett, manager at Vue Redditch, said: “At Vue we are dedicated to providing all our customers with the best cinematic experience possible.

“We are therefore delighted to be bringing The Muppets Most wanted autism friendly screening to our customers to mark World Autism Awareness Day and aim to provide cinemagoers with an enjoyable experience specifically tailored to their needs.”
