A BEAUTIFUL Redditch teenager is raising cash for a great cause after reaching the finals of the Miss Birmingham competition.

Rosie Thompson, aged 17, from Brockhill, needs to raise as much money as possible for The Variety Club of Great Britain as part of the competition.

If the Bromsgrove School pupil is crowned Miss Birmingham at the final, which takes place on April 27, she will go forward to compete in Miss United Kingdom.

As part of her efforts to raise funds, Rosie and her family, including mum Callie who runs Pampered Pets, in Windsor Road, Redditch, are holding a raffle and have already secured some fantastic prizes.

Prizes donated so far include two tickets to see pop sensations Little Mix, vouchers for Rosado's restaurant in Aston Fields, a flying lesson, a Harvester voucher, three complete makeover sessions at Pampered Pets, and a voucher for Burcot Garden Centre.

The family are keen to hear from any other businesses or individuals who would like to donate a prize, whatever the value, and would also like to hear from anyone who would be willing to help them sell raffle tickets.

Tickets can be brought by popping in to Pampered Pets. People can also make a donation or find out more by calling Callie Thompson on 01527 592233.
