POLICE in Redditch are appealing for witnesses after a 44-year-old man was involved in a collision with a car which failed to stop at the junction of Bromsgrove Road and Plymouth Road.

The incident occurred at approximately 8.50am on Tuesday, March 18 as the man, a pedestrian was at the traffic lights on the junction. He was in a collision with a metallic grey car, believed to be a new shape Vauxhall Insignia, which continued on in the3 direction of Bromsgrove Road.

The pedestrian sustained leg injuries and was taken to the Alexandra Hospital, and although he did not break any bones, his legs were set in plaster.

PC Andy Cadwallader of West Mercia Police, said: “We would like to trace the driver involved. It is possible they did not realise there had been a collision, so we would urge them to come forward.

“We also would like to hear from any witnesses.”
