REDDITCH Round Table has made a donation to the cardiac charity Redditch Heart Safe in the last few week.

Redditch Heart Safe is an organisation committed to raising funding for life saving defibrillators as well as awareness and training for potential users in and around Redditch.

Led by Rob and Maggie Underwood the organisation relies on charitable donations and collection events to raise funds so that Heart Safe can continue to provide defibrillators to local schools, clubs and other public centres.

The latest donation by Round Table was made to Mr Underwood at Oakhill First School just before Redditch Heart Safe started another round of defibrillator awareness training for teachers and carers at the school.

Andrew Bush, Round Table member, said: "Without the effort that Redditch Heart Safe has put into this community there simply would not be as many defibrillators in Redditch.

"We wanted to make a donation to once again raise the profile of Heart Safe and also to help pay for the next defibrillator."

Mr Underwood said: "Redditch Round Table have supported our campaign previously. Their donations are used towards the cost of defibrillators such as the one being donated to Oakhill First School. Their continued support to Redditch Heart Safe is hugely appreciated."
