KIDS in Alcester are being urged to put on their running shoes and set their stopwatches to celebrate this year's Mother's Day.
Local children, from toddlers to teenagers, are being given the chance to show their love for their mums at the Run for your Mum fun run, setting off from Alcester High Street on Saturday, March 29, the day before Mother's Day.
There will be a whole series of races for different age groups taking place between 10.30am-11.45amwith all those taking part receiving a flower for their mum and winners earning a medal.
To take part simply turn up outside the Post Office on High Street at 9.30am on the day, or 15 minutes before the race your child is running in begins, and register then.
As well as the running, there will be face painting, live entertainment and an ice-cream van.
The event is a joint venture between charity Kids Run Free, Alcester Chamber of Trade and Commerce, Alcester Town Council and Warwickshire County Council.
