A MAN has appeared in court to deny the murder of his two-month-old daughter.

Tyler Vallance, aged 20, pleaded not guilty at Worcester Crown Court to the murder of Isabella Vallance in Redditch on December 12, 2012. He also entered a not guilty plea to a charge of causing her grievous bodily harm with intent between October 5 and December 8, 2012.

Vallance and the baby's mother, 19-year-old Jessica Wiggins, who address was originally given as The Oakalls, in Bromsgrove, have been jointly charged with two other offences.

Both pleaded not guilty to causing or allowing the death of a child on or about December 12, 2012 and of cruelty to a person under 16 between October 5 and December 8, 2012.

Vallance is currently in prison and Wiggins is believed to live in Redditch.

The trial was put back by a week until June 16 and custody time limits were extended for Vallance. Wiggins was again granted conditional bail.

The four-week trial is expected to be before a High Court judge, Mrs Justice Cox, at Worcester Crown Court.
