THE High Bailiffs and members of Alcester Town Council have been invited to Stratford to take part in a Commonwealth Day flag flying ceremony.
This will be the first time local authorities across the country will be marking the day with local flag-raising ceremonies, with 500 Commonwealth flags expected be raised throughout the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
Teams will also fly Commonwealth flags on the top of the UK's four highest national peaks; Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis, Mount Snowdon and Slieve Donard.
The ceremony in Stratford will take place at 10am on Monday, March 10 at Elizabeth House, Church Street.
