POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about a robbery at Cash Converters store, Unicorn Hill in Redditch town centre.

At around 1pm on Saturday, March 1, a man armed with an implement concealed within an item of clothing entered the store, smashed a display counter and stole Asian gold jewellery valued in excess of £2,000. He then left the store by foot in the direction of Bates Hill towards Hewell Road.

He is described as an Asian/mixed race male, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build with a goatee style beard. He was wearing a black hooded zip top with a white cord and black jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Amjad Iqbal of West Mercia Police said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offender near the store on Saturday afternoon or from anyone with information relating to the robbery. Thankfully no one was injured in this incident, but we do need to find this person as soon as possible.  As such we are releasing footage of a man caught on CCTV at the time of the incident, if anyone knows who he is, please contact us straight away."
