BROWNIES from 2nd Studley (St. Mary's) has some dressing up fun when they fashioned ballerina outfits out of newspapers.

Brownies designed and constructed the outfits and, under the instruction of Studley School of Dance, practised movements from Swan Lake and the Nutcracker.

There was a particular focus on Russian composers, as Brownies are supporting Russian Brownies to go on camps and holidays, as well as doing their dancers badge in the run up to the Brownie Showtime event.

They are currently busy preparing for their district show to celebrate 100 years of Brownies. The event will be held at Studley High school on April 5 from 6.30pm.

Workshops will take place in the day encompassing line dancing, morris dancing, samba drumming and sign and motion songs. Magic will also be performed by special guests in the evening before all the different dances and sketches are performed.

The show is sponsored by Warwickshire County Council.
