OFFICERS from the Court Leet in Alcester are already hard at work getting ready for the town’s annual pancake races, which are set to take place on Shrove Tuesday on March 4.
There’s plenty of work to be done with a record number of entrants expected. Children will be taking part from all the local nursery and junior schools, but this year pupils will also be taking part from Alcester secondary schools.
As always there will also be a relay race for teams from the local pubs and local businesses.
The races are due to start on Alcester High Street from noon on Tuesday, March 4. For more information, contact Court Leet high bailiff Steven Brown or visit alcestercourtleet.co.uk.
