THE Redditch branch of Rock Choir was involved in SignHealth’s sign2sing record attempt, helping to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

During the event, members were invited to donate to SignHealth, which needs funds to help improve the health and wellbeing of profoundly deaf people and give them equal access and opportunities. Many of their services are delivered on a one-to-one basis using British Sign Language, so they are a real lifeline for those who are deaf.

Redditch Rock Choir has been running since September 2012 and has performed at various local events as well as larger scale national events including performances at Wembley Stadium and Liverpool Echo Arena. On Saturday, July 19 they will be staging their own summer concert at Birmingham's Symphony Hall, alongside special celebrity guest Toyah Wilcox.

Redditch Rock Choir rehearses at Studley Sports Centre on Abbeyfields Drive during term time, on Wednesdays, from 8pm until 9.30pm. There are no auditions and no previous musical experience is necessary.
