A GROUP of brave people from Redditch will be hunting for things that go bump in the night in aid of a fantastic cause.

The 10 members of the Macmillan Ghost Hunters will be spending the night at the stunning Warwick Castle on March 7 hunting spooks and spectres in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event is being run by Haunted Happenings, a company from Redditch.

The group has all paid their own money to take part in the experience and are seeking sponsorship to raise even more. So far they have raised more than £700 but would like to reach their target of £1,000.

Christina Kings, from Woodrow, one of the group and organiser of the event, said: "I started fundraising, doing collections etc, when my auntie died of breast cancer aged just 46, and after that I took part in other events, including the Race for Life.

"Following this, I began to think about what I could do to raise even more money, and came up with the idea of this ghost hunting night during a visit to Warwick Castle at Halloween.

"We are really looking forward to it, we hope not to be too scared, and we hope to raise as much cash as possible for Macmillan, which is such a fantastic cause."
