JUDE Law, David Tennant, Patsy Palmer, Naomie Harris, Danny Dyer and impressionist Alistair McGowan have joined forces to support Garden Re-Leaf Day’s popular gardening quiz, each recording a round of questions.

The brain-teasing quiz, which has both gardening and general knowledge rounds, is taking place at Studley Garden Centre on Friday, March 14 from 4pm until 5.30pm.

Garden Re-Leaf Day’s nominated charity in 2014 is Greenfingers, the nationwide charity dedicated to building gardens in children’s hospices around the UK.

Since 2012 Garden Re-Leaf Days activities have raised more than £116,000 for the cause, enabling several life-enhancing hospice gardens to be created.

Teams of four can enter the quiz for a donation to Garden Re-Leaf of just £5 per team, which includes tea or coffee and a cream scone.

There’s a prize for the winning team, plus a fundraising game of ‘Sit Down Bingo’ and other surprise activities.

Teams of local gardeners, horticultural groups and quizzers looking for a fun, fascinating event should book their places now.

Garden Re-Leaf Day’s founder and Hillview Garden Centre chief executive Boyd Douglas-Davies said: "We’re enormously grateful that so many stars have supported this year’s Garden Re-Leaf Day quiz and hope it will be more popular than ever.  It’s a great way for friends to meet up, have fun and support such a worthwhile cause."

Other Garden Re-Leaf Day events being held by Studley Garden Centre, nearer the time, include a sponsored row, run and cycle of the 48 mile distance between Studley and sister site, Hilltop Garden Centre, in 24 hours or less, without actually leaving Studley Garden Centre, and a raffle.

Bookings must be made in advance. To book a team’s place at Studley Garden Centre’s quiz or to find out about any of its Garden Re-Leaf Day activities, call Catherine Brooks on 01527 852266 or email info@studleygardencentre.co.uk.
