FOUR people have been arrested in connection with a robbery in Hollywood, in which a couple were threatened.

It happened in Alcester Road just after 5pm on Friday, January 31.

The victims, a man in his 60s and his wife, heard the doorbell ring. When the man went to answer, it was forced open, causing him to stumble backwards.

Two men and a woman entered, armed with a stanley knife and what is believed to be a conducted energy device.

The man was pushed to the floor and threatened and his wife pushed on to a chair.

Two of the offenders searched upstairs and took purses containing a quantity of cash in Euros and South African Rands before all three left.

The victims were shaken and the man sustained a bump to his head but they did not need medical treatment.

Four people, two men and two women, were arrested on Saturday, February 1, and have been released on police bail while inquiries continue.
