DETECTIVES investigating a sexual assault at a Redditch pub have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

A 24-year-old man from Redditch was arrested after an incident which took place in the women’s toilet at The Royal Enfield on Unicorn Hill at about 12.50am on Sunday, January 12.

The victim is a woman in her 20s who was out for the night with friends.

Detective Constable Sarah Richardson of North Worcestershire CID said: “The woman was followed into the toilets by a man when it happened. We know that there were other women in and around the toilets and it’s vital that they come forward and tell us what they saw or heard.

“The smallest detail could be very important to our investigation so if you know anything please get in touch.”

CCTV footage from the pub is being studied by police.
