Medieval blues come to Redditch next month
10:40am Thursday 16th January 2014 in News
READY for a unique and talented take on a wide range of musical traditions?
Claude Bourbon is known throughout Europe and America for amazing guitar performances that take blues, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and Russian stylings into uncharted territories.
Each year Bourbon plays more than 100 shows around the world.
His latest tour features music from his latest double CD Over The Mountains, which once again incorporates a variety of influences and makes them his own.
Bourbon, born in France and raised in Switzerland, is a classically trained guitarist.
He is best known for crafting a fusion of classical and jazz, with ethereal Eastern influences, Spanish and Latin elements with strains of Western folk.
He may have his roots in the blues, but he is inspired by music and song from all around the world.
Taking these sounds and weaving them into a performance of blues, rock and jazz audiences are promised something a little bit different when he comes to Redditch's Palace Theatre next month.
A spokesman from the theatre said: "Experience an evening of exploration in the unique ambience and intimate surroundings of the Room Upstairs."
He will be performing on February 1.
Tickets are available in person or at the box office on 01527 65203 priced £12.75 (£10.75 discount rate) inclusive of booking fee 75p per seat up to a maximum £3.
