NURSERY provider Bright Kids has opened the doors to its brand new out of school club at Matchborough First School Academy.

The first children arrived to take advantage of the new facility at 8am on Tuesday, January 7.

This is the latest in a chain of clubs for Bright Kids Nursery Group – a major childcare provider since 1999 – which already provides out of school care at its three nurseries in Crabbs Cross, Studley and Northfield as well as at Studley Community Infants School and Wychall Primary School, Northfield.

Bright Kids chief executive Tricia Wellings said: “We are delighted with our new partnership at Matchborough where we are looking forward to providing our flexible, high quality care to even more local children in Redditch.”

Breakfast Club opens at 8am, when children are provided with a healthy breakfast before being escorted to their classrooms in time for school.

After school the club is open between 3.30pm and 6pm. Children are collected from their classrooms and can then relax in a secure, yet stimulating environment. A healthy snack tea is provided and children can play with friends or start their homework.

A wide range of fun play activities will be on offer at Matchborough and children also have access to many of the school’s facilities including the large hall and spacious playground.

Ms Wellings added: “In all of our settings we use playwork principles to deliver our learning through play philosophy. We also embrace play objectives which help our staff provide an interesting, challenging and suitable play environment for children.

“We also hope to offer a holiday club Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm during school holidays.”

Bright Kids’ out of school clubs are open to children between three and 12 years of age.

Bright Kids Nurseries provide a comprehensive range of services: baby care, toddler care, pre-school education and breakfast, after school and holiday clubs.
