TWO firecrews from Alcester and one from Bidford were called out to a fire at a commercial property in Alcester last week.

The incident occurred on Friday, January 3 at the Arden Business Centre in Alcester just after 3.30pm.

A fire was reported on the first floor of the 40 x 20m two storey building, which is used for electronic manufacturing, and two crews were initially mobilised from Alcester and one from Bidford, with an additional two crews requested from Stratford at 3.44pm.

Just before 4pm an aerial appliance was mobilised from Nuneaton, and the fire was brought under control and extinguished by 4.22pm using three jets and four breathing apparatus.

Firecrews remained at the scene for approximately two hours making the area safe.
