Missing Redditch man found dead in bin cupboard

THE body of a Redditch man who had been missing over Christmas has been found in a bin storage area.
Stuart Caswell, aged 34, who had been staying with a friend in the Church Hill area of the town, was found dead in a bin cupboard in a communal area of a block of flats in Fownhope Close, Winyates, at about 7.30pm on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31.
He had disappeared at about 5pm on Saturday, December 21, saying he was popping to a shop. He did not return and was reported missing on Christmas Eve.
Mr Caswell’s death is being treated as unexplained. A post mortem examination is due to take place on Monday, January 6.
Police would still like to hear from anyone who saw him between Saturday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 31. Any witnesses are asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 440-s-241213.
Mr Caswell’s next of kin have been informed, along with the Worcestershire Coroner, and an inquest will be opened in due course.
