A FLOOD warning is still in place for the River Avon from Salford Priors to Tewkesbury after water levels reached highs of around three metres along the stretch of the river on Christmas Day. Water levels fell on Boxing Day.

Low-lying land between Studley and Salford Priors on the River Arrow and the River Alne to the north of Alcester were on flood alert on Christmas Eve, but the flood warning there has been removed, while flood warnings were also in place further along the River Avon at Welford around Binton Road and Mill Lane, and river levels remain high.

Although the water levels are slowly falling there, more rainfall is expected today.
