THANKS to the power of social media, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber's new film will be shown in Redditch

UK Beliebers (fans of the pop star) took to Twitter to demand that Justin’s film Believe is shown in UK - and following more than 5,000 tweets and 2,000 emails, Vue Entertainment will screen it exclusively from Boxing day at all its sites including Vue Redditch, for one week only.

Since tickets went on sale last week, thousands were sold in the first hour – about one every second.

What’s more, the Vue Twitter account received more than 15,000 Bieber-related posts as well as a retweet from the man himself which caused the hashtag #BelieveInVue to trend across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.

Following the US film release announcement and with no planned UK screenings, Bieber fans up and down the country harnessed the power of social media, to voice their demand to see the feature-length documentary on the big screen.

The pop musician, actor and singer-songwriter, has more than 47 million followers on Twitter and was named by Forbes magazine in 2012, as the third-most powerful celebrity in the world.

The new documentary film, out on Christmas day in America, will provide his fans with a backstage and on-stage look at his rise to super stardom.

Anthony Lockett, Vue Redditch Manager said: “The response from Justin Bieber fans up and down the country wanting to see the film has been overwhelming, so we are thrilled to be able to satisfy the demand of local fans here in Redditch.

"We expect our state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, fully-digital screens and comfortable stadium-style seating, to provide fans with an unrivalled gig-like viewing experience.”

“Vue is the only cinema in the country to show Believe and it goes to show how powerful social media can really be - not to mention the power of the Beliebers."
