A MAN riding a scooter has sustained serious leg injuries after a collision with a car in Hartlebury, near Kidderminster.
Witnesses are sought after a silver Yamaha scooter travelling along the A449 towards Kidderminster collided with a grey Toyota Prius at the junction of Worcester Road at around 4pm yesterday.
The rider of the scooter – a 19-year-old man – was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries. The driver and passenger in the Prius suffered minor injuries in the collision.
PC Michael Haines, who was investigating the circumstances of the crash, said: “As with all collisions where someone has been seriously injured, we will carry out an investigation to establish exactly how that person came by their injuries.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or, saw the scooter or the Prius shortly before the collision happened.”
