THE Old Needle Works in Redditch presented a fashion show on Friday , November 29 show - the first within its creative walls.
In honour of this milestone, director Brenda Killigrew decided to raise funds for the Redditch Nighstop, which provides night shelter for the homeless and a food bank for Redditch citizens in need.
VIP guests were Samantha Makepeace from the London College of Fashion and Sharon McColl, the volunteer coordinator from Nightstop
A total of £300.00 was raised from ticket sales this will be match funded money by Lloyds TSB Redditch, through the generosity of the local business manager Mark Corfield.
The fashion show was the highlight for the young designers club, held on Monday and Tuesday nights, the craft club, which meets on Wednesday nights, and all new designers who have been taught at The Old Needle Works.
It was also the launch of the fundraising sub-committee group which is made up of students from the ‘Friday Designers Young Mums’ group which has been asked by Nightstop to help raise money for the next 12 months.
Mrs Killigrew said: "It was a great night, a complete sell out , and it was very exciting using the new catwalk and photographic studio within The Old Needle Works which has been set up for our new company Silk Model Management , which runs model sessions for all budding young models locally."
