GIRL guides from the 2nd Alcester Guide troop spent the day Birmingham recently visiting the Frankfurt Christmas Market and the city’s new library.
The girls who range from 10-14 years old had a mug of hot chocolate in the Christmas market and took in panoramic views of the city from the new Library of Birmingham roof garden, before strapping on their skates and taking to the ice in a temporary rink set up in Centenary Square.
Lauren Caffrey from 2nd Alcester Guides, said: “All of the girls were ice skating independently by the end, even those who hadn't been before. Alice and Jess also made their Guide promise amongst the excitement of the Christmas market.”
