ALCESTER is getting ready for the biggest night in its festive calendar this evening as the High Street is lined with food, gift and charity stalls and people come out to celebrate St Nicholas Night.
A Santa’s Grotto will be in operation, as well as rides for the children, and there will be live music from various local groups. Shops will be staying open into the night from 5.30pm and there will be a procession along the High Street led by the boy Bishop and his attendants, who this year are Christian Steele, with attendants Ella Forbes, Olivia Hands, and Sian Webster from St Nicholas Primary School.
Stalls will be open until 10.30pm with a church service at St Nicholas Church starting at 9pm.
