THE festive season officially got under way in Redditch last weekend when residents celebrated an old fashioned Christmas at Forge Mill's Victorian Christmas Craft Fair.

There were more than 20 different stalls, Mulled Wine and roasted chestnuts, children's craft activities, a Victorian liquorice maker and of course a very special visit from the big man himself - Father Christmas.

Entertainment was provided by Alcester Victoria Silver Band which played all the favourite festive tunes, along with carol singers from Indigo Arts.

Redditch MP Karen Lumley, who visited the fair, said: “I very much enjoyed popping into the Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday and was delighted to see so many families out enjoying themselves.

"There were a fantastic array of Christmas presents on sale and it was great to meet Jack Greene who made me some traditional Victorian liquorice.”
