NOW is the time to register for some active festive fun, while raising vital funds for the Primrose Hospice.

The hospice has launched two ways for Redditch people to have some fitness fun in the lead up to Christmas, with its Santa Dash and its Santa Cycle.

The cycle takes place on Saturday, December 7 at Arrow Valley Park in Redditch, from 10am.

The cost is £12 for adults, including a free Santa suit, and £5 for under 12s, including a free Santa hat, or £30 for a family ticket for two adults and two under 12s. Additional cycles are also available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event is being held in conjunction with Redditch Council, Choose How You Move and the Redditch Road and Path Cycle Club.

After the success of last year’s first Santa Dash, Primrose Hospice has teamed up with Redditch Council and the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, with the support of Charles Lovell and Co, to bring Santa Dash Round 2 to Redditch.

A spokesman said: “See how many laps you can do and how much sponsorship money you can raise for your local hospice.  You don’t have to run, you can walk, jog, even hop and skip if you like!

“The perfect fun and festive family event to kick start Christmas."

Registration includes a free Santa suit for adults and free Santa hat for children.”

The dash takes place on Sunday, December 8 from 10am in Redditch town centre and involves one mile laps. Registration fees are the same as for the Santa Cycle.
