Alcester and Redditch schools get extra funding for physics
2:12pm Wednesday 23rd October 2013 in News
ALCESTER Grammar School has been named as the new physics hub school for a schools’ science partnership.
The Redditch and Alcester Ogden Trust Partnership includes Alcester Grammar, St Augustine’s Catholic High, Woodrush High and Bromsgrove School, and is funded by the Ogden Trust.
The trust funds school science partnerships all over the country, and it has provided the Redditch and Alcester schools with £10,000 to be used by all four schools in order to enrich and extend their physics teaching.
A spokesman for Alcester Grammar said: “We are very excited about the future of physics education in our schools. This injection of money will allow the physics curriculum to be enriched with resources, visits, extra-curricular activities and university links. We also aim to deliver science outreach to our local primary schools.”
