Fourth man appears in court over Hopwood Services robbery and kidnapping

A FOURTH man appeared in court on Friday, October 11 in connection with a kidnap and robbery at Hopwood Services, near Redditch, off the M42.
Leon Lloyd Brown, aged 37, of Wellesley Gardens, Moseley, Birmingham, was arrested on Thursday, October 10 and appeared before Worcester magistrates charged with robbing the driver of a cash in transit lorry of £465,000 and kidnapping him. The incident happened at the service station on August 15.
Brown was remanded to appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 25 with co-defendant Adam Lee Ali, aged 34, of Cotman Close, Great Barr.
Two other defendants, Leon Bell, aged 37, of Greenvale Avenue, Sheldon, and John Gerard Wall, aged 49, of Bromford Lane, Washwood Heath, are remanded in custody to appear before Worcester Crown Court on November 25.
A fifth man is on police bail, pending further inquiries.
