A REDDITCH paranormal events company recently teamed up with the cast of ITV1 soap Emmerdale to raise cash for charity.

Haunted Happenings, based in Edward Street and run by paranormal investigators and mediums, recently organised an overnight charity ghost hunt.

Several cast members from the popular soap spent the night carrying out vigils and séances at the haunted Armley Mills in Leeds in support of Ruddi’s Retreat.

The charity was started by the parents of Ruddi Waterworth-Jones, who at just six months developed Rhabdomarsacoma, a cancer of the soft tissue.

An amazing £4,220 was raised which will go toward the charity, which provides holidays to families of children suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

Wayne Spurrier from Haunted Happenings, one of the largest companies of its kind in the UK, said: “It was a spooky night, with lots of great experiences and more than a few screams too.

“The whole thing was fantastic and knowing the difference the money will make to this small charity makes it even more special.”

As well as ghost hunts and private and corporate events, it investigates locations around the county including prisons, castles, pubs and asylums.
