AN aspiring athlete from St Augustine's High School has been chosen for the English Squad in the 100m and long jump.
Chloe Payne, 14, has been selected to compete alongside double Olympic and World Champion Mo Farah and Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul at the end of October.
She will be part of a squad comprising some of England’s other finest athletes such as Katrina Johnson-Thompson and Christine Ohuruogu.
Prior to competing Chloe will be getting coached by Toni Minichiello, Jessica Ennis-Hill's coach.
A St Augustine's spokesman said: “What a fantastic opportunity for Chloe. We wish her well and hope to see her standing on the victor's podium in a future Olympic Games.”
