Donning double denim for charity
10:30am Saturday 28th September 2013 in News
YOUNGSTERS from Matchborough First School raised almost £250 for charity donning double denim.
Pupils as well as staff rom the school raised the cash as part of Jeans for Genes Day, a day of action to raise cash and awareness for Genetic Disorders UK.
The children donated £1 to the charity and the challenge was to wear as many denim items as possible, from jeans to tops and hats to shoes.
Matchborough headteacher Jackie Harris said: “The children loved the challenge of wearing the most denim. It was also a valuable lesson about helping others.”
