TWO keen fundraising fanatics from Brockhill put their all into a charity challenge recently when they took part in an Ironman competition.
Mark Tanner and Gary Jarvis travelled to Pembrokeshire to take part in Ironman Wales, a gruelling triathlon event that involves a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike race, and finishing with a 26.2 mile run for the finish.
The two men slogged their way around the course, with Mr Jarvis managing to finish the whole thing in 13 hours 12 minutes and 45 seconds, while Mr Tanner managed an even more impressive 12 hours 32 minutes and 34 seconds time.
The two were raising money for Cancer Research, and if anyone wishes to add to their fundraising efforts, they can visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/GaryJarvisIronMan.
