Open day for older people in Redditch

REDDITCH residents aged 65 and over, are invited to attend an open day to help them understand the lifestyle available to them in supported living schemes.
The open day, being hosted by Redditch Council’s Home Support Service, will take place on Tuesday, October 1 at Ibstock House in Winyates.
Leisure Services will be at the event to demonstrate some exercises plus Age UK and members of the Older Persons Forum will be on hand to offer advice and there will also be a display from the painting class which meets every week.
During the afternoon visitors at the open day will be invited to take part in some of the residents’ usual activities including bingo, darts, reading, cards and much more. Members from the Activity Focus Group will be on hand to inform people of activities run in Redditch Borough Schemes across Redditch.
Visitors will also get the opportunity to sample some taster dishes, including leek and potato soup made from the produce grown by the residents of Ibstock House. Afternoon tea will also be provided.
The open day will start at 10am and finish at 4pm.
