Line Dance for Redditch Stroke Support Club
10:34am Monday 23rd September 2013 in News
THE Redditch Stroke Support Club is hosting a Line Dance at the Rocklands Social Club in Headless Cross.
Newcomers and experts alike are being invited along to join in the fun, and even the completely uninitiated should be able to pick up the steps.
The dance is taking place on Friday, October 11 from 7.30pm, and is the first event of its kind organised by the club.
The Redditch Stroke Support Club runs fortnightly on alternate Wednesday mornings from Churchill Community Centre in Redditch, giving stroke survivors an opportunity to exchange ideas on how to cope with difficulties of daily living, and where to go for specialist help, as well as just providing somewhere for people to come for a chat, and to play games.
Jill Easton from the club, said: “This is a place where above all we endeavour to provoke a feeling of hope for the future, however gloomy it at first appears.”
Tickets for the Line Dance are £3 and can be purchased on the door. Proceeds from the dance will go towards the club’s room hire, bringing in speakers, and purchasing important equipment to help make members’ lives easier.
